One of at least 3 maybe 4 acquired by Dandenong (Vic) RSL, they were planned to be displayed in formation on poles.
Fitted with rear fuselage marked A7-048.
Was stored at Dandenong Army depot.
Sold to private collector.

It was apparently found to be too expensive to mount on the pole and it is now on display along with A7-015 at the Gippsland Armed Forces Museum, West Sale, Vic.

This engine-less aircraft was located at Port Wakefield (JPEU) and used for 'indirect' DSTO testing. The aircraft (with removed wings/tail section for storage) was remarkably complete when noted in 08/2005.
Was acquired by the South Australian Aviation Museum. Tail section is from A7-080.
Macchi A7-030 was purchased by Macchi 25 Pty Ltd from SAAM for spares for the flying restoration of A7-025. Its airframe was stripped of components and donated to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Inc to be used as a gate guardian. The airframe was beyond repair for use as a flying aircraft. The tail section of Macchi A7-030 was actually off aircraft A7-087 and has been repainted to suit. The airframe has wings from A7-012 and A7-022 which were painted in Central Flying School colours. The airframe when donated had no undercarriage, horizontal tail-plane or vertical fin.
The dedicated team at HARS have rebuilt A7-030 and painted it in Roulette "Fanta Can" paint scheme.
11/04/2016 Mounted on pole outside HARS. A substantial engineering feat sees it mounted through the tail pipe opening in a spectacular flying attitude.

Bob Brown witnessed the accident "I was a police officer stationed in Broome in 1981 and watched as O'Dwyer practiced a 'Falling Leaf' maneuver prior to the actual display over the township during the Shinju Matsuri Festival. He dissapeared behind trees which was followed by a plume of smoke. I was the first police officer on scene and determined at O'Dwyer had ejected just prior to impact and had almost recovered the aircraft as it impacted on its belly and skidded for a short distance before exploding. O'Dwyer obviously impacted the ground hard although he was intact and appeared undistorted. Unfortunately he was consumed by the resulting fire and the remains of his partly deployed melted parachute extended away from his body. The tragic loss was felt acutely by the local people. A memorial plaque is displayed at the Broome Police & Citizens Youth Club." |

The Roulettes suffered their first accident when Roulette 2 and Roulette 3 collided at 2,000 feet over the training area new East Sale. The aircraft involved were A7-046 and A7-093. Flt Lt. Steve Carter (Roulette 2) was believed to have been killed instantly while Flt. Lt. Graeme "Blue" Brooks (Roulette 3) fell from his aircraft as it disintegrated around the pilot. He was able to parachute into a tea tree swamp on the "Lakeview" property. An Esso helicopter medivaced Flt. Lt. Brooks to the Base Medical Flight but unfortunately during treatment he suffered a cardiac arrest and later died in the Gippsland Base Hospital.

The Roulettes were practicing for the Canberra Bicentennial Airshow which was scheduled for Sunday 13/03/88.

In 1992 was painted in a special scheme to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of 76 Squadron and the 25th years of RAAF Machhi operation. However as it emerged from the paint shop it was grounded due to fatigue issues. (The commemorative scheme was repeated on A7-070)
Despite never flying with this scheme it was used as a travelling display and retains this scheme today, updated from 25 to 34 years at last count.

FLTLT Page died after he ejected and was then struck by the aircraft. His parachute subsequently did not open and he impacted into the water. RAAF Ejection number 73.
A7-052 was repainted by HARS to represent A7-076 and in October 2010 was placed at RAAF Williamtown as a memorial honouring Flight Lieutenant Page and all No. 76 Squadron personnel who have suffered and lost their life for the defence of Australia

The Roulettes suffered their first accident when Roulette 2 and Roulette 3 collided at 2,000 feet over the training area new East Sale. The aircraft involved were A7-046 and A7-093. Flt Lt. Steve Carter (Roulette 2) was believed to have been killed instantly while Flt. Lt. Graeme "Blue" Brooks (Roulette 3) fell from his aircraft as it disintegrated around the pilot. He was able to parachute into a tea tree swamp on the "Lakeview" property. An Esso helicopter medivaced Flt. Lt. Brooks to the Base Medical Flight but unfortunately during treatment he suffered a cardiac arrest and later died in the Gippsland Base Hospital
