2/06/2006 Conversion to tanker by EADS Conversion and Modification Centre at Getafe, near Madrid in Spain. "Roll-in" ceremony

14/11/2010 Seville - Airbus Military Family Day
20/01/2011 Incident when the boom was damaged during refuelling trials with a Portuguese Air Force F-16. No Australian personnel involved.
29/11/2011 Delivered to RAAF in Madrid,
Remained in Spain for tests and was originally due to be transferred to RAAF Base Amberley, 02/2013.
Eventually delivered on 24/02/2015. Carried Registration MRTT-01
23/09/2015 to 26/10/2015 Used for refuelling trials with USAF F-35A. 12 sorties were flown from Edwards Air Force base. The RAAF tanker crew made 479 dry and 24 wet contacts using the tail mounted boom.

18/06/2011 Arrived Amberley via McCarron and Hickham
22/06/2011 Second KC-30A accepted by RAAF 33SQN.
16/09/2011 Completed the first MRTT flight in RAAF service. It took off from RAAF Base Amberley at about 10.40am for a 2 hours and 45 minutes long flight over Roma and the Sunshine Coast, before returning to RAAF Base Amberley,
21/09/2014 Deployed to UAE  for operations in the Middle East.
