Mention should be made of the prototype CT-4B. (c/n 001)
Registered as ZK-DGY it was displayed at the Paris Air Show in 1975.
Sold by PAC in 1983 it is currently owned by a syndicate based at Ardmore.
Although never flown as an RNZAF aircraft it is currently painted in the early grey and red scheme with kiwi roundels and side number 01

Aircaft crashed into sand dunes and caught fire, near Santoft Forest, 18km west of Bulls while carrying out aerobatic practice with Red Checkers team on 14 January 2010. Pilot, Squadron leader Nick Cree, killed. Sqn Ldr Cree was practising his solo routine of a "fishtail" pass when he lost control.

Pilot Squadron Leader B. Marshall awarded green endorsement for his handling of the emergency.
Aircraft undamaged and returned to service.

Made a forced landing 12 km south of Rangipo, near Waiouru 27 January 2012. During landing run, struck tussock and overturned, suffering "moderate damage". Pilot escaped unhurt. Aircraft recovered to Ohakea, repaired and returned to service.

In Service Sept 1998 to December 2014.

Withdrawn from service on completion of lease.
